WINTER 2019 / 2020
*All tennis programs are member-only
Thank you for your interest in our Junior Development Program.
Our coaching staff is fully committed to developing college ready players through a clearly defined training structure and competitive pathway. We teach modern technique through the implementation of a comprehensive teaching and coaching philosophy designed to develop the technical, physical, and mental skills needed to win at any level.
The following groups and times will be offered from November 4, 2019 through March 31, 2020. Placement into the College groups will be determined by the Tennis Director and Junior Development Staff based on age, ability and desire of the player. Classes are indoors and our numbers are limited due to court space; we give priority to players who are playing tennis as a primary sport and to those who have been in the program the longest and have come consistently through the outdoor season.
You must be a member to play in the Junior Development Program.
Note: A Junior Membership is $60 per month and will allow access to free outdoor court time year-round and the pool in the summer and a place on all of our Junior Development Teams. Please contact Andy Veal for more information at (615) 495-9441 or preferably at firstname.lastname@example.org
All of our Winter Groups are indoors and we have a waiting list for these groups. Since court space is limited we charge a monthly fee for all of these groups. We do not offer make ups and you will be charged the monthly fee regardless of how many times you show up. We appreciate your understanding of this indoor winter policy.
There will be additional activities and opportunities to play on the weekends, including specialty clinics, intergroup matches, tournaments, and mini camps. Times and availability will change. Please check with staff for details or on our website at www.brentwoodswimandtennis.com
THE COMPETITIVE EDGE COLLEGE PROGRAM
These groups are for junior tennis players playing on Middle and High School Teams, competing in USTA State, Sectional and National tournaments, ranked in Tennessee, and looking to continue their tennis careers in College. They are very physical groups, utilizing a college workout format with less time spent on technique and more on point play, point construction, patterns of play, and competing mentally. There will on-court conditioning, video analysis when necessary, plus ongoing evaluations for parents and players. Players are expected to compete in USTA tournaments and in additional practices on the weekends. Level and attitude will determine placement into these groups.
